This experience has truly helped me grow as I start in my career of event management. I feel as if I have grown my confidence in planning and executing an event tremendously. Throughout my internship I was able to grow relationships and also develop lifelong mentors and connections that may help further my passions in my career. I have learned to always have back up plans, and be prepared for anything. While learning more about planning events, I also have gained more knowledge in communication, public relations, and even some experience in graphic design while creating a poster for one of my events. This internship has been an amazing journey and I will always be grateful for it, and the event management minor we have at Western Michigan University.
